Heather has been a Speech Language Pathologist for more than 20 years. She was also a Certified RDI (Relationship Development Intervention) Consultant for ten years, as well as completing course work in Shanker Self Reg and Ross Greene’s CPS model. She works primarily with autistic children and their families, and with early language development. Heather has worked in multiple settings including a private multi-disciplinary therapy centre, independent school and private practice.
Along with RDI and Self Reg, Heather incorporates tools and practices such as Social Stories (Carol Gray), NLA (Natural Language Aquisition for gestalt language learners), DIR Floortime, and AAC into her practice. She enjoys collaborating with a family’s team to develop the best fit for goals and learning support practices for the child and family.

With over 20 years of experience as a clinician and City Speech Centre co-founder, Jennifer has also worked in several school districts, hospitals and private healthcare centres across Greater Vancouver providing direct service and consulting as a team member with other health care professionals.
Jennifer is a Clinical Instructor at the School of Audiology and Speech Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine at UBC. She has also provided service to lawyers and insurers to explain how communication challenges can have an impact on someone’s life.
In recent years, Jennifer has taken a particular interest in Myofunctional Therapy (sometimes referred to as “Tongue Thrust therapy”) in response to a growing demand, and has been able to help her clients achieve optimal results.
